As one of the main partners for the Road To London programme in supporting the 7 sports of archery, badminton, diving, cycling, shooting, fencing and weightlifting, 100PLUS’s Road to London campaign goes by the title of United For Success, carrying the core message of 1Malaysia, 1 Goal. Aimed to unite Malaysians in the effort of supporting the nation’s top athletes such as Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Azizulhasni Awang and Pandalela Rinong in their participation in their sporting events, the campaign reaches out nationwide through consumer roadshows and digital initiatives for supporters to leave their messages of support and cheer.
“There is 1 main goal and that is for our athletes to succeed and bring honor and glory to our country”! We need to unite to build and bring together the team spirit of every Malaysian to encourage our Malaysian team to live to 100PLUS’ Outdo Yourself spirit in order to make this goal, a reality!” said Khalid Alvi Managing Director, F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd.
“We will hold prominence on the world stage, with every eye on us for the titles which our Malaysian team has worked very hard over the past years preparing for. Trainings have been going well and we are in great form, both physical as well as team spirit. The Malaysian team will do its best and we need all Malaysians to cheer and give them our full support!” said Datuk Zolkples Embong, Director General of the National Sports Council.
Also present at the press conference were representatives from FAMEMAS, a dedicated Malaysian Sports Supporters Group, who embody the very essence of the vital need to continuously and passionately unite as one behind our athletes. Decked out in their renowned full gear of yellow FAMEMAS shirts and armed with drums, the group demonstrated the significant impact of what simple cheering can do to build up and re-energise team spirit.
The rally of support and cheers commences in May with onground support where consumers can look out for the 100PLUS United For Success Roadshow at most major malls nationwide to join fellow Malaysians across the country in recording their cheer of support.
100PLUS’s United For Success campaign kick-off started on 1 April with a nationwide consumer promotion including new limited edition packs featuring the faces of the country’s top athletes Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Azizulhasni Awang, Pandalela Rinong and Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, in full support of them living up to the Outdo Yourself spirit to secure honor and glory for MALAYSIA.
As part of the Digital Campaign, consumers can visit 100PLUS Malaysia’s facebook to participate in leaving their cheer messages for our athletes through the Line to London Facebook Contest. They will be part of an animated ‘100PLUS world’ with supporters lining up, united in their cheers of support!
“Nothing spurs athletes more effectively than the knowledge of an entire support team believing in their capabilities and cheering them on. What more, the entire country acting as a support team? As such, we will be conducting an on-ground and digital campaign to encourage and rally all Malaysians to unite and submit their cheers for the Malaysian team! Come on Malaysia, let us be United For Success, Sejiwa Kecapi Kejayaan!” Alvi added.
